Australia’s haircare industry expected to soar

Approximately 49% of women will be affected by hair loss throughout their lives, with female pattern hair loss (FPHL) being the most common cause of female alopecia.

In men, significant balding affects one in five in their 20s, one in three men in their 30s and nearly half of men aged in their 40s and Australia has been declared to have the highest percentage of balding men in the world!

Hair care thus has become a progressively growing industry with revenue predicted to amount to $1.44 billion in 2023.

Doctor Guanchen Sun, Research & Development Director at Biogency explains: “The market is continuing to rapidly expand with a greater focus on organic, natural and Australian made products. Consumers are more aware and alert than ever, especially amongst supplements and vitamins which is why we created Piliant.”

Piliant is a carefully formulated and well-rounded hair loss supplement that is designed to fight hair loss from several fronts. There are 4 main types of hair loss, and Piliant is designed to assist with the first 3 being seborrheic alopecia, resting alopecia and round baldness.

Why Piliant?

There are 4 main types of hair loss, and Piliant is designed to assist with the first 3 being seborrheic alopecia, resting alopecia and round baldness. This is primarily done through the combined action of the constituent essential nutrients. Antioxidants found in Piliant from Ginkgo Biloba and Gotu Kola fortifies hair against external damage where the multi-spectrum protection offered is completed with the inclusion of Biota Orientalis, a naturally occurring herbal remedy used to promote hair growth. Piliant is specifically formulated to protect the scalp from both exogenous (external to the body) and endogenous (internal to the body) sources of damage. External damage includes UV rays, dust and dirt, and salon and hairstyling products. Endogenous damage can be caused by oxidative free radicals within the body, a dysfunctional or overactive immune system, various other inflammations, and androgens (a class of naturally occurring hormones).

Dr. Sun also shares that our diet plays a large role in the maintenance of healthy hair, where protein and rich oils like nuts and seeds should be consumed in conjunction with effective supplements to treat both hair loss and growth.
