Italian Wine Brand Santa Margherita Announces Gold Partnership With The 2022 ST. ALi Italian Film Festival
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore, the iconic Italian wine brand is proud to announce it is the official Gold Partner of the 2022 ST. ALi Italian Film Festival, taking place nationally from September 13 – October 16.
Set to be the biggest public celebration of Italian cinema outside of Italy, the film festival will present the best new contemporary Italian blockbusters and most cherished classics on the big screen to an ever-growing audience of over 80,000 film lovers nationally.
Throughout the festival partnership, Santa Margherita will pay homage to the first Prosecco Superiore made in 1952 by Santa Margherita in Conegliano-aldobbiadene, the very Prosecco that has today been recognised as one of the leading imported prosecco’s in Australia.
Cinemagoers lucky enough to attend Opening Nights across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will experience a special pop-up bar experience from Santa Margherita, which will transport them to the rolling wineries in Venice, as they are served a truly Italian aperitivo.
Commenting on the partnership, Erika Gallon, Santa Margherita Brand Ambassador said, "The 70th anniversary of the Prosecco Superiore is a momentous occasion for Santa Margherita and we are delighted to celebrate rich Italian charm as Gold Partner of the 2022 ST.ALi Italian Film Festival. From Naples to Rome to Calabria and Venice, we can’t wait to transport cinema goers to the world of Italy and experience the la dolce vita way of life.”
Benjamin Zeccola, CEO for Palace Cinemas said, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Santa Margherita, one of Italy’s finest winemakers on the 70th anniversary of their Prosecco Superiore. This extraordinary alignment brings together our shared vision of celebrating the very best in Italian culture and la dolce vita”
Seventy years ago, Santa Margherita’s Prosecco debuted in the Italian wine market: a new, elegant and modern wine that spurred a revolution in taste and wine-drinking pleasure. It all began in the 1950s when the founder first recognised the potential of sparkling Glera wine, in the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene. A project and a vision was born which has seen Santa Margherita become one of the leading producers of this extraordinary wine and for Prosecco to establish itself as one of the most famous and highly-regarded sparkling wines in the world.
Over the past seventy years, Prosecco has become a leading fixture on Australian palates and the Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore continues to be its flagship: a wine that has made a huge contribution to the development of Italian winemaking, revolutionising both the national and foreign markets.
Every day, thousands of wine lovers are enjoying a glass of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore around the world: a great success story for the iconic Italian brand, whose roots date back to the last century.
