Australia is a country that offers a wide variety of beautiful and diverse attractions. If you are planning to visit Australia, a cruise is the best way to see all of its attractions. Sydney Harbor and its world-famous attractions are some of the most popular starting points for a Cruises Australia

Most cruises in Australia go through ports along the country's East and North coasts. Some of the major ports that are regularly visited by ships are Port Douglas, Townsville, Darwin, and Brisbane. The cruises in this area usually last for around seven to ten days.

Latest update of the Australian government

The Australian government extends the country's pandemic emergency measures until April 2022, Right now, they are taking the first steps toward getting the international cruise industry back in business. Although the country's cruise ships have been ordered to leave the country, major lines have been adjusting their operations while the government continues to monitor the situation.

Following several outbreaks of COVID-19, Australia temporarily suspended its cruise industry in the spring of 2020. The country then ordered the ships to leave its waters. Despite the efforts of the industry to get the government to re-start its operations, the government still hasn't come up with a plan to get the industry back on track. On April 17, Greg Hunt, the minister of health, announced that the government would impose new restrictions on the entry of cruise ships.

China and Australia are the only other countries that have suspended their cruise operations due to the outbreak of COVID-19. In 2021, North America, Europe, and South America will be able to resume their operations. However, the South American market was temporarily suspended in January 2022 after Brazil enacted new restrictions due to the outbreak of Omicron.

In response to the recent outbreak of Hepatitis in Australia, Health Minister Greg Hunt said that the federal government was working with the states and the cruise lines to re-introduce the program. He said that the protocols would be finalized, and the states would plan how the program would be implemented.

Want to know about the local cruise industry

The local cruise industry welcomed the extension of the ban on the travel of passengers. They noted that it was a significant development that would help them resume their operations. According to industry sources, the states of New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria are most likely to be the first to resume cruises. These include the ports of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. According to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), it could be May or June 2022, before the first cruises can be carried out. This would allow the Cruises Australia to sail during the Australian winter season.

The industry is also expected to be slower to start up due to the various factors that affect the operations of a ship, such as the repositioning of the vessel. For instance, last week, Carnival Cruise Line announced that two of its ships, the Carnival Spirit and the Carnival Splendor, were being relocated to North America. Several international cruise companies have already announced their plans to return to Australia in 2022 for the summer season.
